since I started brewing many years ago, I have controlled the sparge flow rate with a needle valve on the outlet of my lauter tun.

I have a sparge arm that I have never used, and would like to find a reasonably-priced metering pump to pump 170F water through the sparge arm into my lauter tun.

there are plenty of industrial and lab metering pumps to be had for hundreds of dollars, but is anyone using a lower-cost pump?

thanks

You would need a pump that could handle sparg temps. What about using a visual flow meter and a normal brewing pump. Blichman has one
