I had a Master Thief at a beer place in Estes Park, CO, and I loved it. I wanted to make a clone of a German style of porter brewed by the Grimm Brothers in Loveland, CO, but I couldn't find much to go on. Can you take a look at this recipe and see if I'm on the right track for a decent beer?
5.5 lbs German Pilsner
4.5 lbs Munich II
.5 Carafa III
.5 Chocolate Wheat Malt
.5oz Herkules (14.5%) @60 min
0.75oz Hallertauer @0 min
Alt Yeast (WPL036)
According to their website (http://grimmbrosbrewhouse.com/beer/master-thief/) and Brewsmith, I look to be in the ballpark with the numbers at least. Anyone have any tips or guidance? Or should I just brew it and see what happens?
