So I am feeling a bit stupid and can't find an immediate answer, which I need since I am trying to make the starter right now. My tap water is gross. I am out of my usual RO water from the store, but I have some distilled. Will that be ok to make the starter out of since all of the PH crap should be in the DME? Just making sure this is not something I should worry about.

And she be spinnin. Thanks again. I was sure that I had also heard that people were suggested to use distilled for extract because of the lack of salts and things. Just wanted to be sure. Prost! I'm propagating San Diego Super Yeast. Stepping all the way up to 5 L. I'll get 7 mason jars of 200 Billion cells a piece from this. Free yeast is the best yeast. Well somewhat free. Prost!
