I want to start building a single tier automated system this summer, so I've been reading and researching different threads on these builds for awhile. I can't seem to figure out which model love controller is normally used. There isn't a very good description on the website of what the different models do differently. And what are a few good options for gas valve switches? I will be working with propane, s oI didn't know if that would affect the type of gas regulator I should use. Thanks

I agree with Budzu. The Love controller TS-13010 works great for this application. I have one in my brewery and it does an excellent job controlling my HLT and recirculation temperture.

Do not hesitate to ask if you have question.

right on... thanks guys. Budzu, do you have a suggestion on the specific type/brand of probe to use? Can probably find one on the same website right?

For your probe check out brewershardware.com. There are some available specifically for the love controllers and you will be able to get whatever length you need. There are some SS probes available from dwyer but I'd totally go with brewershardware.

I suggest these products in particular so you can insert your probe through a 1/2" npt fitting:

I will recommend you to check this thermowell from the same supplier.

This one is a 6" lg. (just for illustration!). I got a 4" one and it works great with the TS-13010 factory probe. I like this configuration better because you can reposition the probe if needed. In my case I take the temperture reading at the HLT supply connection.

Here is my set up,

It provides a hermetic seal and flexibility.
