Loose fit pex fittings

Hey everyone, im looking at building a manifold for the bottom of a coleman cooler uskng some pex i have left over, would it be fine to just loose fit everything together rather than crimping each connection?

Personally, I would avoid using clamps unless you feel it might help keep it from floating. Clamps add extra spots to clean and keeping it loose will make it easier to break down to clean as needed.

I have a pvc manifold. All loose connections. No worries either way. It’s on the cold side. It is easily to clean loose though.
