I'm itching to brew my second batch and I am thinking toward a good winter ale. I'm a total newbie here and would like to stick with extract for the time being. My favorite winter beers are Great Divide Hibernation Ale, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, and all sorts of oatmeal and coffee stouts/porters. Nothing overly spiced/sweet. Any suggestions for an awesome extract-based recipe to get me through the long Ohio winter? Thanks in advance!
