I don't use LME at all.
stores longer and I don't have to worry about stale LMEWhats your reasoning?
cheaper per gravity point
LME is somewhat cheaper, and I WANT to think that something less processed is going to taste better, but I have not had that experience.
I've found DME easier to store and easier to use. I've heard "fresh LME" should taste better, but I haven't seen it. Has anyone had better TASTE from LME?
From NB, 3 pounds of DME is $13 (1.026 SG) and 3.15 # of LME is $11 (1.023 SG, that's if you don't get any waste with LME which is more difficult than with DME).
One last question: any thoughts on how long properly sealed DME would last?

Hogarthe said:I think Williams Brewing uses similar pouches to what More beer uses for their lme. That said, I've never purchased lme from either place. When I was doing extract, I usually got it from Midwest, and it was lme. lme was a pain to get all of it out of the container, so I preferred dme.
