Hello,
I just want to ask a question. I am in the process of building a single tier system as was wondering if it is acceptable to have a lid on the HLT or not?
I am adding a return to the HLT and do not know if I want to drill a hole in the side of the keg up high or add the return through the lid.
I know that when heating the water and chlorine and other stuff in the water will evaporate that's why I did not want to have the lid on. However when recirculating back through the HLT it would be nice to have a lid to help hold the heat in.

Thanks

Thanks for the input guys! I have been leaning towards using the return in the lid in order to help with heat loss. I also use a filter for any incoming water the is used in the system. So I do not forsee any issues. :mug:
