LG pump choice 1/12 hp or 1/25 hp?

If the price was the same would you pick the 1/12 hp pump:

In other words.. do you think the 1/12 hp one is too much power such that i would be throttling it down too much?

take a look at the curves on the pdf.

When in doubt, go bigger. I'd hate to see you purchase the smaller pump and have it not carry the load.

the bigger pump will be twice as powerful as a march pump.

I was thinking that i could use my march pump for MLT pumping (where i need a low flow rate)

I could use the LG for HLT pumping and BK recirculation, where low flow rate is less critical.

The only other difference is that the bigger pump has a open fan-cooled motor. The smaller pump (march sized) has a Totally enclose fan cooled motor, which would be good for drips/spills
