Just installed 2 weldless ball valves. And both of them leak. Both of the valves have high temp silicone rings on both sides of the kettle wall. I cut the holes damn near perfect and there just a tad too big to thread the bulkheads into. When I tighten everything down the silicone rings push out from behind the nut and the washer.
Should I lay down a ring of silicone calk? or buy some smaller rings and stretch them over the bulkhead? Any other options?

You may have tightened them far too tightly. You want to make sure that the silicone o-ring does not come out the lock ring or washer. When i was installing mine I did not have to tighten them any more than hand tight. I would take them off and try re-installing them. Hope that helps at all.
