I pulled the dregs from a Tree House beer and tried propagating the yeast. I had some success but have notice two distinct layers in my flask. I know often times harvesting from a trub cake will produce layers due to getting some trub sediment but I was surprised to see that here. Is it likely due to whatever is said to make the NEIPA hazy or different strains of yeast or something else? Just curious more than anything.

Possibly/probably trub from the DME (if that's what you used to propogate with)
