Hey guys I was just wondering is instead of lagering in a carboy just put the beer right away into a keg to lager. And a month or two later just hook up the gas and Carb?

I always lager in a keg. Usually after the lager period is done I will force transfer the the beer to another keg before serving. Gets rid of a lot of the gunk that settles to the bottom while lagering.

I often lager in the keg- it fits better in my kegerator than a carboy. If the beer is clear going into the keg, I don't worry about moving it to a new keg later on but if there is a ton of sediment, you could "jump" it to a new keg to serve it if you want. You can put the gas on while the beer is lagering- it doesn't affect aging/lagering.
