Lagering at 32 f

Hey all, more dumb questions.

Ive started a 6 week Lagering period on my Norwegian Christmas Beer. As its cold outside right now its on the patio but the temp can drop below freezing during the night. Will this be ok?

How far below freezing? The alcohol content will keep your beer from freezing at 32, but you don't have more than a few degrees of wiggle room (depending on your alcohol content).

Is this an ale or a lager? IT probably isn't necessary to lager it at freezing temps if its an ale. Won't hurt it either, but it's not as crucial as with a lager.
