Hello guys,
Mery Christmas šŸŗ
I just finished to transfer my Oktoberfest beer the i brew on the 28 on november. I wanted to start lager the beer after 2 weeks but my thanks to this pandemic my 2nd freezer somehow has been used as food storage without my permission lol.
My beer temperature is 13.5C.
I am planing to bring down the temperature 2 degrees per day down to 2.5C.
The question is to not over use the freezer compressor i set the variation temperature to + and - 0.8C so i will have a varietion of 1.6 degrees. Is that too much?

Once the lager yeast are essentially dormant, which in your case they likely are (after 27 days of fermentation at 13.5C), small temperature swings are not going to matter. Also, the ambient air in the freezer will cool and warm faster than the beer, so it's even less of an issue.
