Lager in a Better Bottle

I was just reading the Fermenting Lagers section in our homebrewing wiki and it said buckets were not suitable for lagering due to air exchange. It said Kegs and carboys were, I assume this means better bottles but am not 100% seeing has how I am just in the primary now I have time to get a glass carboy if needed but not would rather use my better bottle I have dreams of dropping glass carboys and losing my Achilles' tendon.

PET is not oxygen permeable, so yes it is fine just fine to do your primary (or extended aging) in your better bottle. It's one of the biggest selling points of a better bottle.

I do primary for all my lagers in a b/bottle, then rack to a keg for lagering. If I didn't have a kegging system, I'd lager in a b/bottle too and then bottle when it dropped clear.

I normally lager in a keg, but I have also lagered for at least 3 months in a better bottle without issue.
