So I bought a fancy kickstarted temp controller for a chest freezer. It has been "quirky" since the beginning, to say the lest.

Anyway, I did a primary only lager, a wonderful Vienna lager. Today, I happily went to keg it, only my thermometer said 10 deg F. Oh no! I open the lid and find my blowoff gallon of water frozen solid. And worse, the bottom of my freezer has some beer in it. Both of my fermenting buckets (I do 10 gallon batches) showed signs of beer leaking down the sides.

So I pulled them out and let them sit in my basement. Are my poor lagers ruined? Keep in mind, these were primary only lagers.

And one last note, it couldn't have been like the for too long. I checked on them about a week to two weeks ago and all was fine.
