Spray with a hose and dry. Fill with pbw occasionally. If it lasts a year I'll be happy, cheap and easy to make a new one. Will report back if turns out to be a pita..
 
You don't direct fire your MT, do you?
Nope. I don't heat it at all. Water heated in HLT. I don't mash out currently - but plan too via circulating through the HLT once I put an element in it - currently using a burner.
