Hey fellas I am kegging a beer in a corny keg but need to store it warm until a party. Can someone tell me how to keg a beer n keep it in a 70 deg basement until i use it day of? I need initial psi when first kegged then the process of what to do day of party (ice in a bucket serving on party tap). Its gonna be sitting in basement for 2-3 months. Its an american ipa style.
Thanks in advance
Tom

Get some ice and keep it chilled, even if you manage somehow to drop the temp enough so it isn't warm when pouring it, all the co2 is going to come out of solution when its that warm. The one solution you may consider is using a jockey box but you will need to push beer through 50' of line to keep the co2 in solution.

I'm just storing it in the basement until the drinking day. I was thinking of force carbing it on 30 psi and leaving it in the basement until the drinking day. Then chill and serve at a lower drinking psi. That won't work?

Well if you are going to force carb it, you are going to want it to be cold to help absorb the co2. I would either keep it cold if at all possible. If not possible, maybe naturally carb it by kegging it & add priming sugar, seal it with some co2 and then let it set in your basement til the day of, get it cold and then serve at serving pressure.
