Hi I finished my keezer andhave not gotten into the home brew setup yet I'm buying my kegs from a distributor about 40 mins from me and my keezer only accepts 1/8 and 1/6 barrel which the distributor keeps cold. Can I buy a couple spares to keep on hand and store them at room temperature until I am ready for them?

I can't imagine any downsides to storing a commercial keg at room temp for up to 3-4 months (unless it's an IPA and hop aroma and flavor fade)

side note: I use 1/6th bbl kegs, but never heard of and 1/8 bbl keg , do tell.

A lot of the commercial beer companies are going to 1/8 barrel now like labatt Blue Light u can only get in 1/8 barrel personally I'd rather have 1/6 because my keezer will accommodate them the 1/8 are the same size while having a plate welded in that keeps less ounces next time I get one out of the keezer I'll post pictures
