I have outgrown my current mash tun and was looking for a new one when a friend called me saying he found a keg at his place I could have to turn into a keggle. The question I have is every keggle I've ever seen uses a straight walled keg, this is one of the tapered style can I still use it? Also is half full of unknown beer from 1995 so obviously I'm going to have to tap it and try it. If I can use it I could really use advice on a decent source of info on how to go about the conversion. Thanks!

This is a Coors light keg. I use it for my brew pot.

As for draining the beer out of it put it on its side and angle it down, grab a screwdriver and use the handle to push in the ball to release CO2. Beer will come out but if you get all the CO2 out its easy to disassemble.

Just one place to start. Google How to build a keggle and you'll find a lot.
