If anyone has used either of these thermometers or has a keezer and a better way of knowing the highest and lowest temp your temp controller is keeping/allowing your keezer to stay at let me know :) ALSO is a light bulb and/or mini fan necessary to keep the temp consistent, or is that only necessary for some freezers?

here are the links to the 2 thermometers I was lookin at:

Thanks,

In case you might harbor any doubts about using such a device, I wouldn't bother. If you're using a chest freezer as a keezer, what you care about is the temperature of the beer, not the air temperature ranging inside the keezer. And if you set up your add-on temperature controller well, you can hold the beer temperature to a single degree of differential above your set point. At which point you'd likely be asking yourself why you bought a high/low thermometer...

Cheers!

Spend your $$ wisely. Buy an STC-1000 ($20 on Amazon) and precisely control the keezer with it. That's what I did.

Sensor for the keezer goes in a jar of water (to mimic keg contents). Sensor for my fermenter controller (another STC-1000) goes on the side of the bucket.
