I was recently given an upright chest freezer that has mold all over the inside and shelves that won't come out to put kegs inside. I'd like to ditch the whole box part of the freezer, build an insulated box, and attach the cooling element from the back of the freezer to the box. I've searched the forum for something like this, but after seeing 100+ pictures of keezers, I have yet to see someone do this. I'm sure it's been done, so can anyone point me in the direction of a thread about doing such a thing, or give me other advice? Thanks!
