Yo,

On the non-adjustable model, can you take the mill apart and then put the driven roller where the stationery roller was (and vice versa)? Or, if not, can you flip the rollers 180?

Also, the shaft that extends (for a hand crank or pulley) - is that one long shaft or is it in 2 pieces (screwed together).

I have a BareBones on order but would like to get things ready for when it arrives.

Cheers!

I followed a link someone posted on this particular mill, on one of the other "sub" forums........Was it you?
I had questions about the small hopper they had set up.

Anyway, on the site for the mills, they mention the construction of the rollers........Believe they said "one piece construction".

Scope it out!

Edit:........Look through this thread, the link is within.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the manufacturer (JSP) does say this:

"...The bearing journals and drive shaft are integral to the roller..."

But I'm not sure I understand that. I don't think he is saying they are one piece (how can a shaft and the bearing be one piece?).

Cheers!

PS. Took another look at the description and I'm now thinking "bearing journal" is the surface that accepts a bearing. So you maybe right!

Bing!

I think the "journal" they refer to, is where the shaft itself rides on the bushing or the inner race of the ball bearing, (I forgot which they use!).
