I have Jamil's Chocolate Hazelnut Porter in my fermenter. The instructions indicate that I am supposed to add cacao nibs during secondary fermentation or throw it in when kegging.

I do not plan to transfer the brew to another fermenter for secondary fermentation or to use a keg. Any suggestions regarding when and how to add the nibs?
 
Just throw them in the primary. I would soak in vodka first. Made the mistake of not doing so before and had an infected beer.
