Man this must be rush hour here ... 11 or 12 new guys today ! I'm a hi-tek burn-out geek in Portland - my new gig is tek-support at a large high school. Its a very rewarding - positive - and enjoyable job. One of our science teachers brews and gave me a few bottles as a thanks for helping him get the computers set up in his new room.
One of those was an Alaskan Amber --- very very tasty and smooth. No doubt we have a lot of great micro-brews in the NW, and last year we spent 3 weeks in Germany and France. But this Alaskan Amber was right up there with some of the best beers I've had.
This weekend I'll pick up a kit from the store he's been using and we'll brew the following weekend.
No doubt, questions will be coming ....
