Hey everyone,

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself before I throw out any technical questions and calls for advice.

My name is Luuk from Holland, I live in the Caribbean and I got into brewing about a year ago through a colleague. I've been in the beverage & cocktail business for 2 decades though, so creating flavors and fermentation is something I've been very familiair with and the brewing process has grabbed me immediately.

Since my colleague left I added the head brewer duties to my extensive list of tasks as a restaurant GM, the same restaurant we brew our beer at and for (about 20 gallons a month). I've been chewing up every morsel of information i've been able to get my hands on and I've met some other (home)brewers on the (small) island who've taken a liking to the beers as well.

Looking forward to picking y'all's brains!

Welcome! Way to hit the ground running! What island/brewery are you at?

I live on Curacao, a Dutch island off the coast of Venezuela. It's close to Aruba which is more familiar for most US based people :) I run a restaurant called Kome, where we started brewing about a year ago

Cool! Good luck with the journey, maybe I'll make it to that island someday!
