I'm about to go on vacation for 10 days and I have a beer in the secondary that should be close to done fermenting.

Is it bad if I let it sit in the secondary for the 10 days?

no it's not bad. you could have even left it in the original fermentor the whole time.

Not at all. I've aged stouts and barleywines in the secondary for 4-6 months. Even a pale or ipa will benefit from 7-10 days in a secondary.

leave them in primary for a month, then secondary a month. primary 10 days then secondary for a couple weeks, primary for 2 weeks then secondary 2 weeks.... very little difference, as long as sanitation is good and vodka in the airlock. all depends on the style. ipa's/apa's benefit from freshness, darker beers benefit from aging. your answer: leave it in there and don't worry about it; it'll actually help it
