Is 1.5lbs of CO2 enough for a keg?

So I volunteered my CO2 setup for a friend's keg party, but I only have 1.5# according to my scale. Last time I did this I ran out and had to drive home and rip out my keezer setup.

At what point should I just refill it?

But this is my backup! Ha Ha. I think it's a pony keg, so not far off a Corny size.

Oh if it's a commercial keg that's already carbonated you could serve like 10 kegs off that 1.5 lbs.

Yeah, you are fine. I hear it takes maybe 2.5-3 of those 16 gram CO2 cartridges using a charger to dispense a 5 gallon corney. 1 LB should be way more than enough.

Cool - I'll go ahead and use it then. I had a previous issue with leaks and a cheap/defective regulator which used most of the gas in it. I've since upgraded to a taprite and will make sure to get a good rubber gasket...
