I am new to ask grain brewing! I have a question on the looks of this beer! Is it suppose to look like a lighter chocolate milk? I put it in the fermenter Saturday late evening. I hope it is not messed up!

Thank you
Grumpy

It's okay. It'll settle out and change color basically as the yeast does it's job.

Oh phew, I was pretty worried! Thank you for responding and letting me know I was unsure of what was going on. It makes sense know!

Thank you!

Looks like the residue from pellet hops to me. I assume you didn't filter into the carboy? You waon't have any trouble. That will all settle out along with the flocculated yeast.

It might also just be air bubbles giving it that color. I have found color in the primary fermenter to not be necessarily representative of final color for a beer.
