Infected mead?

Hey yall! This is my first ever brew… This is after 24 hours. Is my mead infected? I’m not sure how to tell. The second picture is after day two nutrients when i swirled it around a bit. Let me know! I need help haha.

Yep, fermentation looks healthy to me too. Only problem I see is that the first photo looks like the krausen is going to blow out of that container. It's possible those bubbles creeping up toward the airlock will make their way out and leave you a real big mess. Might want to get something between that jug and that hardwood floor. Congrats, you're making mead :)
 
The bubbles you see are a natural part of fermentation. The tan goop is just yeast and nutrients. You will likely eventually see little floaties on the surface. Also not an infection, rather whats known as yeast rafts, which are just coagulated yeast particles that havent dropped out of suspension. Keep fermenting on! Degas regularly and send to the commenters on this thread for proper disposal ;)
