I'm trying to figure out a way to do indirect fire heating on a homebrew scale, mainly as a prototype for a larger system. Not able to find a ton of info on indirect heating on the probrewer side, but it seems like a really nice alternative to steam. Would be a post boil conical all-in-1 system that would be indirect heated to boil, chilled, fermented in, cold crashed, carbonated in, served from.
The chilling part isn't a problem on the homebrew level, but I'd like to try the heating as well - could something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000C6E3H/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 be forced into a conical fermenter jacket and work? Or is that just silly?
Pressure rating of the jacket to deal with both heating and cooling jumps out as the first possible thing to me, dry fire warping, going from boil to chilling warping.
