My brew-partner wants to brew an imperial summer ale. I know that higher ABV isn't really fitting for the styles of beer you'd associate with a "summer ale" (i.e. kolsch and wheat beers). All I could find online was this: http://www.math.fsu.edu/~gmizell/recipes/HBA_Community_Imperial_Summer_Ale.html . Plugged it into beersmith and the IBUs were in the mid hundreds. Something seems off with it. I also checked here on HBT but couldn't find anything similar.
Any advice?
