I have read of some who caught wild yeast, I just am not sure I did it on the first try. I left out some of the boiled wort and this appeared after 5 days. it smells somewhat sour maybe vinegar like, but also beerlike. Toss it, or cultivate it?

Curiosity would get the best of me. I'd have to let it ferment out then give it a taste.

Hells yea, that looks like burr. You gotta let it finish and try it. Better start thinking of names for your new yeast too.
