I acquired one of these things! Any brewing related use?

Hey all,

I recently was handed an aquarium inline water chiller (this thing http://www.ebay.ca/itm/JBJ-Arctica-...768355?hash=item51ede83223:g:rb8AAOSwA3dYCNtW) Does it have any use in my brewery? Maybe to cycle water through for a swamp cooler? I doubt that its food grade so I probably won't be running wort through it, but it is for aquariums....

What does the forum say? Thanks in advance

Nice - I wish someone would hand me one of these. I would use it with an immersion chiller in a conical to control fermentation temps.

If you prefer the DIY route, buy a stainless immersion chiller, and plastic inductor tank from US Plastic, and make yourself a temp controlled conical.

That's what I use one for... You can wrap some blue discharge hose from the home depot around the outside of any carboy ,bucket or conical and control the pump with a temp controller it works very well

You could go as simply as placing your bucket/carboy in a tub of water and then recirculate with the chiller.
