Hydrometer and Refracometer question

I'm showing 7.40 P on the refractometer (1.029 SG), and my hydrometer is registering 1.012 (I have 2, and they're both showing the same reading)

I thought I knew what the deal was (maybe residual sugar or something), but I'm just getting heavy into brewing again and forgot.

Fermented a 1.057 ale at 66 F - took 7 full days for air lock to go dead.

once alcohol is in solution you have to use a hydrometer because the latter is innacurate. I have heard that you can use an equasion to correct but the refraction is changed with ethanol...
