Howdy Just joined. I have been brewing on and off randomly for probably 15 years. Thinking about getting back into it so though I'd join up and try some stuff out.

Depending on how long you were absent, a few things in brewing may have changed over the past years. Time to read up...

I like darker beers. The last thing I made was some Mead from probably 20 year old honey. Heres a pick on my instagram. A lot of the honey had crystalized and it had turned black black. I did end up adding some newer honey to it get the proportions right. Its a fairly Dark brown color now. I think its probably around 15% or so alcohol. I lost my initial talles measurements so I'm not sure. Still pretty good. I have about a gallon of it left out of 3 gallons I had made.
