How would you hop it?

Brewing an APA/IPA this weekend and thought I would crowd source a hopping schedule.

Grist will be...
96% 2 row
3% crystal 60
1% carapils

OG 1.060
FG 1.008-1.010 ish

Fermenting with US05

I'm stocked up on the following hops.

Warrior
Cascade
Amarillo
Mosaic (this batch is pretty oniony)

Appreciate any input. What say you?

I would...

Bitter with Warrior @ 60
Add a combo of any or all @ 30 or 15, @ flameout or whirlpool, and do a 5ish day dry hop.

I would probably use all 3, but sounds like you aren't crazy about the Mosaic.

make an orange IPA with Amarillo and Cascade. Bitter with Cascade @ 60 then both at flameout and both at dryhop. I've been putting a 2oz dry hop addition in my keg and its really changed the IPA game for me.

I’m no expert at this and have a thread up about designing my first brew an APA. I did hours of research and thinking when it came to hops and I think I’m going to bitter with Amarillo at 60 minutes, add cascade at 10 minutes, and dry hop with cascade in the secondary. I’m excited to brew this pale ale so Amarillo and cascade get my vote.

Regarding your recipe: I would drop the CaraPils and use only 2-row and Crystal. Mash at around 149-151F and somewhere between 30 and 40 IBUs, depending on how much bitterness you want.

I brewed an all Amarillo Pale Ale last month with NO dry hopping that turned out great:

SRM: 7.5
Target ABV: 5.5%
Target IBUs: 32
Original Gravity: 1.050
Final Gravity: 1.008
Mash time: 75 minutes / 149F
Boil time: 60 minutes

5250 gr Maris Otter / 11.5 lbs
250 gr Crystal 60L / 0.55 lbs

5 gr / 0.17 oz Amarillo 19 minutes
10 gr / 0.35 oz Amarillo 16 minutes
15 gr / 0.52 oz Amarillo 13 minutes
20 gr / 0.70 oz Amarillo 10 minutes
20 gr / 0.70 oz Amarillo 5 minutes
40 gr / 1.40 oz Amarillo 1 minutes
90 gr / 3.2 oz Amarillo Whirlpool

Yeast 1 x Danstar Nottingham / Fermented at around 64-65F for 7 days, cold crashed for 3 and bottled at day 11.

Water: Chloride: Sulfate / 70:140 ---> Ca: 50 / Mg: 10 / Na: 5 / pH: 5.4

I bottled for 2.55 vol. CO2 and at day 7 in the bottle was already carbonated and it was very good. At day 15 in the bottle was even better.

The bitterness was there and was very smooth. Easy drinking, lots of sweet tangerines/oranges, generic citrus and a hint of something tropical. Next time I will either dry hop with 100 gr / 3.5 oz hops or simply add 3.5 oz more in the whirlpool.

So I recently did a pseudo-continuous hop technique with Amarillo and Cascade for my last pale ale/IPA. Turned out very good and it was something new to try.
Assuming a 5 gallon-ish batch, bitter with Warrior. Then at 30, 20, 10, and 5 mins, add 0.25 oz each of Amarillo and Cascade. At flame out, add 1 oz of Cascade and/or Amarillo. Dry hop with an ounce each as well.
I can tolerate a small amount of Mosaic when it's a compliment to other hops. I hate it when it's the majority of the hop addition. My grain bill was very similar with 85.7% 2 row and 4.8% crystal 60, but I went with 9.5% flaked oats. It was super cloudy at first, but super smooth. It's starting to clear after a month in the keg.

This sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks! I'll brew tomorrow and let you know how it turned out in a couple weeks.

Here is what I'm going with:
0.50 oz Warrior [15.60 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 5 24.3 IBUs
0.25 oz Amarillo Gold [8.60 %] - Boil 30.0 min Hop 6 5.1 IBUs
0.25 oz Cascade [7.30 %] - Boil 30.0 min Hop 7 4.4 IBUs
0.25 oz Amarillo Gold [8.60 %] - Boil 20.0 min Hop 8 4.1 IBUs
0.25 oz Cascade [7.30 %] - Boil 20.0 min Hop 9 3.4 IBUs
0.25 oz Amarillo Gold [8.60 %] - Boil 10.0 min Hop 10 2.4 IBUs
0.25 oz Cascade [7.30 %] - Boil 10.0 min Hop 11 2.1 IBUs
0.25 oz Amarillo Gold [8.60 %] - Boil 5.0 min Hop 12 1.3 IBUs
0.25 oz Cascade [7.30 %] - Boil 5.0 min Hop 13 1.1 IBUs
1.00 oz Amarillo Gold [8.60 %] - Steep/Whirlpool 15.0 min Hop 14 6.6 IBUs
1.00 oz Cascade [6.30 %] - Steep/Whirlpool 15.0 min Hop 15 4.9 IBUs -
1.00 oz Amarillo Gold [8.60 %] - Dry Hop 7.0 Days Hop 17 0.0 IBUs
1.00 oz Cascade [6.30 %] - Dry Hop 7.0 Days Hop 18 0.0 IBUs

My last one (still in the keg) was hopped with:
1.00 oz Magnum [10.80 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 5 32.7 IBUs
1.00 oz Cascade [7.30 %] - Boil 15.0 min Hop 6 11.0 IBUs
1.00 oz Centennial [9.90 %] - Boil 7.0 min Hop 7 8.1 IBUs
1.00 oz Amarillo Gold [8.60 %] - Steep/Whirlpool 15.0 min Hop 8 6.5 IBUs
1.00 oz Amarillo Gold [8.60 %] - Dry Hop 5.0 Days Hop 10 0.0 IBUs
1.00 oz Cascade [6.30 %] - Dry Hop 5.0 Days Hop 11 0.0 IBUs

Put a charge of fruity hops in the primary at about day 4. And put some in to steep after the temp had dropped some. Trust me the active fermentation dry hop charge is great. It'll be cloudy but who cares?

Here's what you'll be looking at. Yours may be a little bit clearer without the oats.
