Hey Everyone,
I just did a BIAB Blood Orange Hefe following this recipe:
https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f70/all-grain-blood-orange-hefeweizen-395605/
with the addition of steeping the fruit in a 1/2 gallon of water on the stove and adding it to the fermenter (from extreme brewing by Sam C.)
I didn't have time to use liquid yeast, so I went with Safbrew WB-06. I re-hydrated the yeast and shook the fermenter for aeration.
Fermentation kicked off in under 12 hrs, but it has been slowly chugging along after about 24 hrs. It bubbles once about about every 30 sec to a min.
My O.G. was ~ 1.052-1.053 @ it's been fermenting around 70-71 degrees F.
For those of you that have used this strain, I'm curious how vigorous was your overall fermentation?
I'm wondering if something might impeding the fermentation or if this is just typical for this yeast.
Thanks for your help/feedback!
