Hello,

I have a 5 gallon batch that I split into two 1 gallon jugs and a 3 gallon carboy. I am ready to bottle. I need to figure out how much priming sugar to put in my 1 gallon batches and 3 gallon batch. I have never done a split batch so how do I calculate how to properly carbonate each? Any help is much appreciated!

Are you going to bottle right from the fermenters? How are you going to add the priming sugar? I'd probably still rack to the bottling bucket, to mix the priming solution in the beer, as well as to get the beer off all the sediment- so I would just go with the .75-1 ounce of priming sugar per gallon of beer and still bottle it all at once.

If you're doing them separately, you can still use .75-1 ounce per gallon of finished beer.
