New to brewing software and i have been looking at recipes on brewtoad.com. However I realize that the recipes call for you to know how to do certain things like water to grain conversions and boil off conversions which I thijnk I know how to do, but as far as bottling concerned it doesn't give any information for amounts of sugar or even if you're kegging beer how much PSI to use. Advice and recommendations? Better free software or us there another calculator I need to use?

Search for "priming sugar calculator" and you'll find several.
When I do bottle, I skip the bottling bucket and bottle directly from primary using Domino Dots sugar cubes. One cube per 12 oz. bottle, works pretty good.

I always transfer to a bottling bucket to see what my final volume is. That allows me to accurately calculate my priming sugar needs.

To do that I use the Northern Brewer Priming Sugar calculator. I prefer this one because it gives the values for multiple types of sugar.

For kegging pressure to co2 volumes I uses this one: https://www.brewersfriend.com/keg-carbonation-calculator/

Water to grain ratio is a personal choice. Most people use 1.25 quarts water to each pound of grain. I've used 1 quart/pound at times. It's going to depend on your set up. You need to find what works for you.

Boil off rate is easy. Fill your brew kettle with water and boil it for an hour.

Hope that helps.
