How much water

Ow much water should I start out with on my boil if I'm making a 5 gallon batch. Maybe about 6.5.

For a full boil,I'd say at least 6 gallons.

You have to find out the boil of rate your going to get. 6.5 should be a good guess for the first time. You can boil a little longer or top off if you have too. Next time you'll know better.

Make sure your OG is where you want it, If all is well I'd say roughly a gallon for a full boil. There are several factors when trying to figure out boil off rate. Good luck.

You can just boil water for an hour and see how much you loose.
