I'm building an all in one carboy washer with 12 bottle auto washer attachment. In the spirit of DIY, I'm using parts found around the house but one of my PVC Tees has a hole drilled in it from some irrigation project years ago. What is the best way to get this hole plugged? Since this puppy will be circulating cleaner as some points, maybe oxyclean too, then IOStar... tape won't really work. Glad to hear some ideas!

Thanks!

I would try aquarium grade silicone sealant. If the holes are really big, maybe augment with a toothpick.

You CAN patch it with plumbing epoxy, but that would cost you more than a new tee. I'd just get a new tee. They're dirt cheap.

Impossible to guess at. Pressure is a funny thing. If it's low flow, a dollop of silicone may indeed work, otherwise, it is best to put in a union.

I like the screw idea! But you guys are right with the replacement tee...

*sigh* go in to the Home Depot for a $0.40 part, leave with a $40 receipt...
