Bought about 1lb of hops and opened the pack last night to make a brew. Now the whole lb of hops is open can I just put them in a big zip lock bag and stick them in the freezer. My sealer is currently not working.

If you don't use them within the next week, they'll go bad. Your only option is to brew a big IIPA and use them all.
Srsly, yes, ziploc and freezer is your best bet until you get your vacuum sealer working again. Make sure you get as much air out of the ziplocs as possible.
