Hops (Pellet vs Whole Flower)

So this weekend I'm going to brew an ESB. My recipe is as follows (Partial Mash):

6.0 lbs Maris Otter LME
4.0 lbs Warminster Maris Otter
1.0 lbs Simpsons Medium Crystal
2 oz EGK @60 min
1 oz EKG @0 min
1 oz EKG dry hop

My LHBS has pellet and whole flower EKG. I've never used whole flower for dry hoping (mainly cause it wasn't available). Will using whole flower add a different flavor to my beer? I would be interested in hearing some opinions on this. Thanks.

The alchemist says there is a difference. Its more "green". He only uses pellets

Both will do fine. Whole hops are supposed to provide a better flavor, but I haven't noticed.

Whole hops will absorb more beer. I find pellets more convienient.
