First time brewing beer, long time brewing cider. Pretty sure at this point I just misunderstood the recipe sheet an added too much water but trying to salvage.. Great hop forward nose but flavor is watery IPA and a whopping 3.0abv. A couple options I am considering..
1- a little mixology with my finished Crabapple cider. 7.0abv, extremely tart. Might help even out the tannins of the cider and increase flavor interest of the beer. Sample in a glass prior and see where it takes me...
2- add in some apple cider/juice (store bought, use in off season for cider when crabbies aren't available), add in some honey and put through a second fermentation cycle (possibly second dose of english ale wyeast)- increase abv and again, increase flavor complexity.
Thoughts? Give up on this one altogether and not screw it up next time?
