I am interested in brewing a Hogaarden clone as it is my favorite beer. Has anyone come across a recipe that is close. I am a new brewer so it cant be to complicated of a recipe but im just interested
 
Not my recipe, but this the one I made for my 3rd batch on 1-11-2014

Distinctive, light wheat beer with a hint of spice. Sweet... great color! big flavor!

#4.5 Belgian Pilsner malt
#4.5 German Red wheat
8oz aromatic
8oz Flaked wheat
4oz flaked oats
1 oz kent golding 60 min
WLP400

1.5oz fresh orange peel last 10min of boil
1.5 oz crushed corrianer seeds last 5 min of boil

Here's my personal notes how I made this batch. I would like to have some constructive criticism on any I did wrong , keep in mind i'm a noob and only got started in this hobby on 12-29-13

1-11-2014

*I placed 1 gallon of distilled water in the freezer
* Grains: Veyermann Vienna 8oz, Flake oak crushed 8oz, Muntons Wheat 8oz
*I Boiled 2 gallon of tap water / after boil transferred to Kettle / 1.5 gallon distilled water
*10:43pm steeped all grains in 3.5 gallons of water @170F, pulled off heat to reduce temp
*11:14pm pulled grain steep bag / 11:15 start wort back on heat to reach boil
*11:55pm Added two 3.3 lbs cans of Wheat Extract, 1oz East Kent Hop @205F (60min boil start)
*12:25am Added orange peel 0.25oz, coriander seed 0.75tsp, 0.50oz East Kent Hop (30min hop/spice add)
*12:50am Added orange peel 0.50oz, coriander seed 0.50tsp (5min spice add)
*12:55am Flame out added Mount Hoop Hop / wort level 3 gallon
*01:15am Added 1 ice gallon distilled water @80F wort level 4 gallon / ice bath in sink to cool
*01:25am Transfer wort into fermenter passing thru wire strainer / topped off with distilled water 5gallon
*01:35am Pitched Wyeast lab 3944 wit Belgian Wheat yeast @66F / Mixed well to oxygenate OG 1.052
*01:45am Lid on with airlock filled with vodka
* 1-28-14 4:00pm FG 1.014 – Started Cold Crash @ 34F
* 1-29-2014 bottled with 4.1 oz. corn sugar

Profile OG 1.043 / Potential Alcohol Volume 4.2%
Actual OG 1.052 / Actual Alcohol Volume 4.99%
Target gravity 1.011 / Final gravity 1.014

I tried Jamil's recipe last summer and it turned out great, worth trying if you haven't already. I used less orange peels than him, but the orange flavouring turned out perfectly. A very nice after-golf beer, my friends consumed it pretty quickly.
