Anyone here try homebrewing with their Amazon Echo? Got a dot for Christmas, wondering if there are skills besides timers that would be helpful.

I'm not sure about that but I did download it a skill for her called beer wisdom. I have not used it yet.

beer wisdom looks like a trivia skill.

It looks like there are some quick calculators for things like determining ABV from OG and FG, or converting brix to specific gravity, but nothing as far as reciting a user-defined recipe, calculating infusion water additions, estimating gravity and/or IBUs from ingredients, taking notes on an ongoing brew session, etc.

You can create skills through AWS. I was playing with some calculators and timers for a while, but I think I was trying to add too much into each skill.

I've seen people use it to turn on wifi enabled outlets to switch their pumps on and off.
