I’ve brewed a best bitter a few times using the same recipe, I do like it but tweaking is fun. I used only MO and Caramel 60 before. EKG hops. For the tweak I added flaked barely and a touch of roasted Barley while dropping the caramel 60. Also upped the hops a little. 1.5 gallon batch
thoughts?

Batch size? I personally would skip the roasted barley, it might take the beer into the Irish Red direction more than Bitter. Other than that it looks great. Flaked barley is a good idea, should lend some mouthfeel!

Yes or increase the percentage of the Crystal 60 to compensate. I think 5% crystal malt in a bitter is a good place to be. Looks like you're only just below the SRM limit anyway!
