HELP needed, just dug up my 3 year old plants!

This is a 3 year old cascade, i am going to replant it and wont to know if i can cut it into 3 pieces and let do it's thing. Can i just cut it up or is there a certain way to go about doing this? I don't want to kill it, sorry im NO gardener and would really appreciate some helpful advice on this. I have 4 others that need the same job done on them, cheers!

I live in New Zealand, so not hop growing season yet
