Hey everyone. I've switched to partial mash after about 5 extracts.

My methods (in a nutshell) are as follows:

1)BIAB in an unmodified cooler at about 1 quart/pound grain
2)Remove the bag after mash, then "steep" in about a gallon of water, then sparge with as much water as needed to be at my 5 gallon boil volume

What would I classify this as?

thanks!

Beersmith does not have one that resembles this. But. you can make your own mash profile though. I am not sure how the program would deal with it..

I am not sure what you mean by BIAB in a cooler. And what is then steep?? This is not a process that I have ever heard of in my 2 years+.
